Anna Lois Callen, a Laurel native, has called Jackson, Mississippi home for nearly 15 years. From an early age, her parents recognized and nurtured her artistic talent, encouraging her to explore a wide range of creative outlets.
Initially skeptical that an arts degree could lead to a sustainable career, she began studying Political Science at Belhaven University. A spontaneous decision to take a drawing class “just for fun” reignited her passion and shifted her trajectory. That moment led to a change in major—and mindset—ultimately landing her in graphic design, where she found the perfect blend of functionality and creativity.
Today, Callen channels her artistic vision both professionally and personally. When she’s not working, you’ll likely find her painting en plein air on her travels abroad, or sketching scenes from life in local bars and restaurants around Jackson.

I have aways been a game night girly. Gimme a board/card game, a little friendly trash talk, add a craft cocktail and you've got yourself a good time.
