Web Developer, Copywriter / Since 2023
Brent Hearn joined the Crema team in October of 2023. His first and forever love is creative writing. (His theatrical work has been produced on the stage, his stories and poetry have been published in various online and print journals, and his super-out-there brain babies have appeared in tabletop games.) He’s been blessed to be able to parlay his passion for words into work in freelance content marketing, agency copywriting, brand strategy, and a smidge of journalism.
After dabbling in web and software development for several years, Brent decided to level up his knowledge into a viable skill set. He revels in both the similarities and differences of slinging syllables and crafting code. Brent looks forward to combining the two to build beautiful, functional sites that bring value to Crema's clients.
When not writing or coding, he enjoys playing percussion, reading, baking things, and eating baked things.
I'd love to eat my way across Italy. (I should probably plan for a lot of brisk walking between meals.)
The answer to this one varies based on what I'm reading and/or thinking about at the time, but I'm always a sucker for a great "best friend" character. Today, I'll go with Samwise Gamgee. Or maybe Marcellus the octopus from Remarkably Bright Creatures since I just finished reading that.
I usually alternate between displaying them on a rotating pedestal in the parlor or storing them in a climate-controlled unit, but it really depends on my taxidermist's workload at the time and...oh. I see. Perhaps I've misunderstood the question.
This one's also variable based on any number of factors. I love a super-dumb comedy with razor-sharp writing, though, and Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story makes me laugh until tears run down my leg.
